Forrest Wines Botrytised Riesling is drawn from three vineyards located within the Wairau Valley. Two are on geologically young, stoney, free-draining gravels close to the river; producing intense citrus aromas and pristine crisp acidity. The third is their Southern Valleys vineyard, composed of geologically older soils, crushed stones with a portion of clay which gives the fruit flavours of stone fruit and Asian spice, softer acidity and tremendous mouth texture.
Color: Golden-yellow in colour.
Nose: Aromas of orange marmalade, apricot and toffee.
Palate: Sweet opulent palate and a clean lingering finish. Full unctuous mouthful, perfectly balanced with crisp, fresh acidity.

Deep golden hue. Rich and heady aromas of dried fig, mango, hot toffee and marmalade notes. Big and rich, unctuous on the palate with deep and sweet mango and marmalade notes. Flows incredibly long and whilst all that richness could overrun it, there’s a fine and bright line of acid that ensures it both drives and cleans up the finish.
94 pts - Bob Campbell (The Real Review)
Luscious and very concentrated dessert wine with honey and honeycomb, grapefruit-marmalade, tree fruit and apricot flavours supported by a thread of fine acidity. A youthful wine that promises to develop well with a little bottle age.
